The README with update package 3 has an entry for v.digit which says:
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
didn't work with altek digitizer after update 1.
This leads me to believe that update package 1 broke the altek, but
that update package 3 will fix it again. But don't ask me, because I don't
have one.
