GRASS USERS:
This is to announce that the Update #5 package to the Grass4.1 software
is now available on the CERL ftp site moon, IP 129.229.20.254.
You will find this, and earlier update packages in the
/grass/grass4.1/update_packages directory. Update #5 is called
upd_pkg.5.cpio. There is a README file (README.5) in this directory
that explains what is in the upd_pkg.5.cpio file, how to unpack it, and
how to install the update package. In addition, there is an UPDATES.5
file in this directory that reviews programs that have been affected
by earlier updates and programs fixed in this update. Users are reminded
that they must have already applied Update #4 to their Grass code before
applying the current update, Update #5.
Installation testing of the Update #5 package for the Sun4 and SGI architectures
has been completed. Some testing of the Grass code has been completed to
date. As usual, send any and all grassbug reports to grassbug@diego or
use the grassbug.sh program.
Another announcement will follow shortly when the Update.5 applied Grass
source and binary code will be available on the our ftp site
