Dear GRASS Community,
again it is time for an update of the current
GRASS 4.2.1 version...
What is new (major changes):
- as already announced: totally rewritten TclTKGRASS V 2.0! Many, many thanks
to Jacques Bouchard (bouchard@onera.fr)
-> new module concept, new module windows etc. etc.
A Programming_intro is included (you can write your own user
interface now or modify the existing).
- XGRASS: applied bugfixes from Jacques Bouchard (bouchard@onera.fr)
-> xdigit working now (but avoid double clicks on filename etc.!)
Added the following scripts/modules:
- added d.rast.rescale: display raster module with automated visualization rescaling
(many thanks to Dr. Agustin Lobo )
- added i.tasscap: Tasseled cap (Kauth Thomas) transform
- added ps.map.barscale (create a barscale vector layer)
(thanks to Malcolm D. Williamson, University of Arkansas, Fayetteville AR)
- added r.edge.dig: module to digitize a vector line between two given raster values
in a raster map (many thanks to Dr. Agustin Lobo )
- added r.out.arctiff: ARC/INFO TIFF export (with .tfw file)
- added r.regression.line: linear regression calculation
- added s.out.gps (many thanks to Johnny Duke at NRCS)
- added v.in.atlas (many thanks to Jill Schueler at NRCS)
- added v.out.atlas
- added v.out.mapinfo (MAPINFO 3.0 compliant)
- added v.distance (thanks to Janne Soimasuo)
Calculates a distance from a point to nearest line or point in vector layer
- added v.plant (thanks to S.J.D. Cox at AGCRC, CSIRO, Australia)
Inserts nodes in equidistance into vector map
- added v.cutter.attr: polygon cutter with vector attributes
... and some minor corrections...
