Arc/Info dxf file to Grass vector

Hi Ron!
I can say that Arc/Info dxf file can be converted into GRASS vector.
But the right way to do it is creating DLG format in ArcInfo and
then bring DLG file into GRASS through v.import command. From my
experience, the v.in.dxf or v.in.arc are not working commands.

Sorry, couldn't pass this one up. I have successfully used v.in.arc under both
4.0 and 4.1 - it's just a little *tricky*. Specifics have been posted to both
this list and esri-l several times; let me know if you need a copy.

v.in.dxf works, but doesn't import attributes for line data. Not the best way
to go, unless no attributes are involved.

If you have any questions, give me a call at (914)742-2085.
Yuri.
