If you ever tried compiling some of the other more or less famous public
domain packages, you'll find that GRASS is after all fairly easy.
Gnuplot in fact compiles easier in it's g.gnuplot form with gmake4.1
than it does with traditional makefiles - so will you stop complaining,
please 8-)? If you don't have a system administrator around, you'll have to
find it out yourself. No one ever claimed working with UNIX was easy ...

P.S. How about starting a grass-install-list for all these all too real
compiling problems? I've been having tons of messages concerning
platforms that I'll probably never see ...
