I'm compiling Grass4.1 for linux, update 5. The compile crashes at 2
unexpected places
1. r.combine reports an undefined symbol yyinput in gis_lxcl.0.
2. i.tape.spot reports lots of undefined symbols and refers to
/usr/lib/libcurses.a(cr_tty.o)
In addition the following contributed scripts crash - r.rvi, r.traj, NPS/area
and distance.
I'm using gcc 2.5.8.
Any suggestions for cures?

PS The rest of Grass seems to run fine, and monitors start a lot more
quickly.
