I have compiled GRASS on Linux (Slackware 3.1, kernel 2.0, XFREE 3.2) but am
running into some difficulty with GRASS text screens. In several commands,
it seems that every other text screen does not display. In g.region, for
example, the screen that asks if you accept the region does not display. If
I type in the answer, however, the next screen will display.
Does anyone know what might cause this problem?

Jim,
What kind of text window are you running GRASS from? I would recommend
trying an xterm in vt100 mode as a "least common denominator" approach,
keeping in mind that GRASS was actually written to run on "dumb"
terminals. Good luck!
