Compiling GRASS4.2.1 V16 on SunOS

I guess you are referring SunOS 4.1.3 (not SunOS 5.x which is a part of
Solaris 2.x). We compiled Markus Neteler's version 4.2.1 version 16 on
Solaris 2.5.1 for SPARC and did not have a problem with r.infer or
r.nntool.
We did have some problems with r.nntool sometime ago and have a patch
file for that at http://www.gpz.com/grassxmi/grass4.2src_fix.tar
