I get the following errors after I type :
d.mon
1 for start graphics monitor
x0 for xdriverGraphics driver [x0] started
ERROR: region for current mapset is not set
run "g.region"
Problem selecting x0. will try once more.
First, set your region by typing "g.region rast=raster_layer_name" (try using
elevation.dem or equiv if you are in spearfish location). This will create
the $LOCATION/WIND file that Darrell mentioned. If this command works, and
d.mon still doesn't, than you have more serious problems!
Good luck!
