I tried compiling grass5 last night to see if the new installation would
help correct any problems with locking or whatever was causing my
problem. It did -- last night. However, when I tried to run it today,
it behaved the same as before, it would start the monitor but could not
select it. To my knowlege, nothing has changed from when it worked,
could someone explain what's going on?
On another note, I'm still trying to find a troubleshooting guide. I've
checked the FAQ, and it does not seem to do. First, it is not easy to
find a similar problem to what is at hand. Second, once you do find it,
it could be just a posting that the problem was encountered with no
explanation of what to do about it. Has anyone put together a simple
list of "foo" isn't working, check "bar" and "baz" for all common
instances of foo, at the minimum those needed to get started?
