Hello GRASSuser's;
Thanks to those who responded to my State Plane problem; after
receiving your replies, I have compiled and attempted to use v.proj
to move vector files from UTM to State Plane.
The problem comes in running v.proj; after it created the new mapset
in the appropriate projection it bombs out with
sh: v.projINV not found
I noticed that v.projINV was in $GISBASE/mapgent/etc, and added that to my
PATH statement, but still no luck. Any special tricks to setting up v.proj
on a SUN IPX that I don't know about? Thank You.

You are using old, SCS written v.proj. The new one does not call v.projINV
or v.projFOR and it has lots of new nice things about it -- like it
lets you convert a file from one location (like UTM) to other projection
(like State Plane) and put the resulting file in
some specified State Plane location,
as opposed to having UTM and State Plane mapsets in UTM location.
The new version of v.proj is being released by CERL as part of GRASS4.1
