Hi, Jeremy
The only size restriction on GRASS raster files is any imposed by the operating
system, e.g. a ulimit setting. We regularly use USGS digital orthophoto
quarter-quads, which are approx. 50 megabytes. Good luck!
Hi there,
I'm trying to get a US image (the whole country) into Grass4.1. I seem to
remenber reading somewhere that grass could only handle a file as large
as 4.2 Mb ? Is this true ?The map I have is ,
13251843Mb
Is it possible to get this into one rast file display in Grass ? If not
what is the alternative, more memory , using r.patch ?Any suggestions would be helpful
Thanks for all the continued help and support
Jeremy .
