g.region error

Hello GRASS users-

I am new to GRASS and was happy to find this
discussion list. I keep getting this error:

WARNING: G_set_window(): North must be larger than South
ERROR: region for current mapset is invalid
       <North must be larger than South>
       run "g.region"

I don't understand this because north is already
larger than south. There is nothing I can change
by running g.region. Help!

Maybe your resolution too large.
Such error could happen in pre-update 3 version of GRASS
if you region has only 1 row.
Please send me your region.
