As 2.7 was not an official release, should 2.7 exist in the db create
folders?
I propose that we migrate all the 2.7 migration scripts to 2.8 and removed
2.7. So the upgrade path can only be from 2.6.4 -> 2.6.5 -> 2.8.0 ->
2.8.1....
This would be the same for 2.9 - which can remain as 2.9 until 2.10 is
released.
The reason, I bring this up, is because the 2.7 to 2.8 migration will
probably never work. Just like the 2.8.0.RC0 to 2.8.RC1 migration will not
work.
What do others think?

Hi
2012/9/30 ianwallen <ianwallen@anonymised.com>:

It should not really matter because migrating from 2.6.x to 2.8.x,
GeoNetwork should play 2.7.0 scripts too but having all SQL for moving
from 2.6.4 to 2.8.0 in one place is probably better for user who would
like to run the migration manually. About 2.7.x, I'm probably the main
one concerned with the 4 releases of GeoSource made under 2.7.x series
in the last year but I maintained my own migration scripts [1] for
that. So no objection for moving 2.7 migration in 2.8.0 from my side.
Cheers.
