[GeoNetwork-devel] A question about Spring Security password encoding

Hi,

I have logic that checks the password against the stored hash and upgrades the password if necessary. The hashing is auto upgraded. Nothing extra is needed. This has been fairly well tested in geocat.

Hi

The new passwords are encoded with SHA-256, but original GeoNetwork passwords I think use SHA-1. Not sure if this is handle in a migration task (but don’t think is possible the conversion) or if otherwise can be configured by default SHA-1 to keep compatibility?
