[GeoNetwork-devel] abusing the spatial index

Hi

I have been abusing the spatial index to selectively store snippets of some records and the using it in another application and linking back to the actual record in geonetwork.

Previously I would only write my records (non-harvested) and non-template records to the shapefile.

With the recent optimisations being committed to trunk, I cant work out where to put these changes in.

Can anyone give me a few pointers on where it could go?

Hi Terry,

I think what you are after for shapefiles has moved to createShapefileDatastore in src/org/fao/geonet/GeoNetwork.java - if you are using PostGIS then you might also need to modify the database table created for the spatialindex in gast/setup/sql/create-db-postgis.sql

Cheers,
Simon
