One of the features of version 2 of geonetwork was supposed to be:
“Supporting the definition of different metadata types, that makes the metadata catalog and editor independent of the metadata standard. This will allow using other metadata standards natively (e.g. FGDC, Dublin Core) and will also support the upcoming ISO19139 implementation standard for ISO 19115 metadata, validating metadata against an XML Schema.”
What would be the steps to add another metadata standard to geonetwork? I’m particularily interested in adding EML (Ecological Metadata Language). The schema is available.
Is this possible at all?
