Hi,
We currently use Geonetwork for geospatial metadata (all ISO 19115) and Metacat for ecological metadata (all EML - http://knb.ecoinformatics.org/software/eml/) on our metadata site (http://weems.uwindsor.ca). Initially, we used Metacat for both metadata standards after a bit of customization, i.e. adding some new xsl etc. Since Geonetwork is so much better suited to geospatial metadata and due to the fact that the quantity of such metadata outnumbers the ecological metadata by almost 10:1, we moved the geospatial metadata into geonetwork. I’d like to evaluate the possibility of modifying the Geonetwork installation to support EML metadata as well, to present a single, uniform interface based on Geonetwork. The EML schema is avaliable, so I’d imagine that this is possible, especially since ISO 19139 is about to be implemented in the next version. Can someone shed some light on this issue? Thanks
Paul
