Hi all,
I've a request to add some kind of dashboard on the administration UI
and compute some indicators like :
* number of records / keywords
* number of records / organisation
* most popular records.
Indicators will be provided by db requests or the facetted module
using the index (on going work).
I would like your inputs on 2 topics :
1) Admin GUI "refresh"
It could be a start on redesigning the admin GUI - is there any
ongoing work or interests in that ?
2) Charting on the client side
We already have some indicators and charts in the statistics panel
[1]. But instead of making charts on the server side, I would prefer
to make client side charts using some kind of JS library.
For this, one option is to use Ext.js [2] (already used in the widgets
[3]). Some month ago, I've made an experiment to use Ext4 in
combination with the current widgets [4] and it was working fine.
There is also many other options (Flot, JQPlot, ...).
Do you have any recommendations on the library to use ?
I also know that some of you works on other GUI approach in order to
improve accessibility, do you have this kind of requirements ? It
could be nice to have some discussion on the best way to go for the UI
(admin, search & editing).
Thanks for your feedback.

I wish I had feedback beyond I love the ideas you are going with.
Do remember that the problem with client side charting is that the amount of data that can be handled is limited. But that is easily fixed by changing the data to be proportional or dividing by some factor.
