I have ca.160 WMS and WFS services for which I need to create ISO 19139 metadata.
Is there a way to call GN's harvest creation form (xml.harvesting.add) from let's say Python?
Alternatively, is there a way I can just execute the OGCWxSGetCapabilities-to-ISO19119_ISO19139.xsl on GetCapabilities XML files?
There appears to be a lot of Java dependencies.
Ciao, Wolfgang

I am obviously using the wrong search keywords. "xml.harvesting.add" returns a wealth of information including a whole chapter (19.3) on GN harvesting services.
Let's see if I can create an OGCWxS GetCapabilities to ISO 19139 harvesting node.

For those who are interested, you can find my Python scripts for creating and executing OGCWxS Harvest Nodes here http://lab.usgin.org/node/319
The scripts work fine with over 130 WMS and WFS Harvest Nodes on my Windows box and the 5810 Trunk version of GeoNetwork. However, I am encountering performance problems and/or bugs with GeoNetwork 2.4.2 and Ubuntu on our low-end Amazon virtual machine. I am working on identifying the problems.
