[GeoNetwork-devel] CFV: Existing GUI as default and Widgets based GUI as experimental - is it possible to test?

Dear Jeroen,

I would like to ask you whether it is possible to deploy the current version of the GeoNetwork you are mentioning within your email in order to test the new GUI widgets?
Or is it enough to check out the current trunk version deploy it and just change some configurations?

Many thanks in advance for your advice,
Regards,
Tomas

Dear PSC and core developers,

I hereby propose to have the existing GUI to remain the default interface when installing GeoNetwork. The Widgets based GUI will be released as experimental GUI with the installer.

At GeoCat we think the new ExtJS widgets based GUI is not stable enough yet to become the default GUI. The ExtJS GUI will be an optional interface and there will be documentation on how to configure GeoNetwork to use the new GUI as default.

Thanks for your urgent voting. Cheers,
Jeroen

Hi Tomas,
Through the geonetwork website you can find the nightly builds of trunk from the downloads page. That installer currently still has the (incomplete) GUI widgets interface configured as the default interface.
Kind regards,
Jeroen
