I would like to propose Jesse Eichar as a committer to trunk.
Jesse is specialized in open-source geospatial Java projects. He is a
member of the uDig steering committee and a contributor to Geotools
and Mapfish. In addition, he regularly work with Geoserver and
Geonetwork.
I had the chance to work closely with Jesse on GeoNetwork flavours
like the geocat.ch catalogue where he made high value proposals and
continue to [1].
Jesse has accepted the committer guidelines and has been developing
GeoNetwork mainly through the geocat.ch sandbox since 2009. He has
been involved in the following proposals:
- Add spatial index to the search.
- Add multilingual metadata support in view mode and editing.
- Index and search multilingual metadata
- Allow the multiple deployment platform configurations to co-exist
He has been working a lot on deploying and testing the application and
providing patches to improve codes and performances.
I think the community will benefit from contributions developed by Jesse.
Dear François and Jesse,
Yes, Jesse has been of great value to the project for a number of years already. I would absolutely like to welcome Jesse as a committer to trunk so he can contribute more effectively to the project.
+1 from me
Cheers,
Jeroen
