[GeoNetwork-devel] CFV: Proposal to add plugin schemas/profiles to trunk 2.7

Dear PSC members,

Proposal to add plugin metadata profiles/schemas to GeoNetwork trunk (2.7 Unstable) is available at:

http://trac.osgeo.org/geonetwork/wiki/pluginprofiles

The changes have been tested with 2.6.0 using some Australian ISO profiles and schemas & Francois has tested it with the French ISO Profile.

There is a brief pdf presentation on how to add a plugin schema (this could be refined into a HOWTO later) attached to the proposal document.

Cheers,
Simon

+1 for me Simon. Great work.

I’m not an official developer, but I sure like the look of what is in the proposal, and I’m glad to see use of some of the work that Dominic Owen did. Please adopt!

Hi All,

Hopefully there is a quick answer to this question. Can GeoNetwork version 2.6 display in the OpenLayers web mapping interface Web Map Tiled Service information?

I have a contractor providing a test WMTS and I have tried to load it into the OpenLayers web mapping client in GN 2.6. I get an error message that it can't open the WMS. Unfortunately I can't make that WMTS public for others to try the test so at this stage an simple yes or no is all I can expect.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Hi John

No WMTS layer support for now. Although should not be much work to extend the map to support it. You can open a ticket in http://trac.osgeo.org/geonetwork/ to include this feature in a next version.

For trac access you need an OSGeo account, if you don’t have it, check this link to create one: http://www.osgeo.org/osgeo_userid

Hi John,

2011/2/16 <john.hockaday@anonymised.com>:

Hi Jose and Francois,

Thanks for your prompt replies. Sorry for taking so long to get back to you - I'm snowed under with other work - ;--).

We are using the widget interface. Is there some documentation or tutorial that I can read to see how to do this?

No documentation yet on this. And do not update your widgets if you're
using trunk.
I'm currently adding the editor to the widgets so it requires some
changes to trunk and I don't have a public patch to be applied to
trunk to add this support. I hope to provide that by the end of the
month.

To only add the tiled layers support you could have a look to that
commit [1] and [2] (unfortunately many things added in the same commit
:frowning: ).

Cheers.

Francois
