[GeoNetwork-devel] Changing the GeoNetwork server url in 2.8.0

Hi All,

I'm looking to change the server url for a Geonetwork 2.8 instance. The instance has a large number of metadata records linking to the current server url in the Online Distribution section to download files.

There used to be an option in GAST (metadata sync) to change all these links to point to the new location (this option ran updated-fixed-info on all non-harvested metadata), but this has been removed in 2.8.0 and I can't find an equivalent option in the web application.

Can someone point me to the procedure for changing these url's in 2.8?

Thanks,

Hi Craig,

The old function in gast used to apply update-fixed-info.xsl to all metadata records - maybe you could use Metadata Processing services - GeoNetwork Opensource. There are a number of examples especially for iso19139 in the process subdirectory of the metadata schema.

Cheers,
Simon

Thanks Simon,

Apparently I've already written an xsl to do this and just forgot I'd done so. Just testing it again now.

Hi Craig, maybe that should be an option to add in the administration ?

Cheers.

Hi Francois,

Yes that would be ideal. Not sure when I'd get to that myself and I think gui support for running batch xsl processes would be a higher priority for me as we do this more often.
