Hi,
I wanted to hack Jeeves a bit, so I checked it out from its SVN repository. When I dropped the compiled library in, instead of the existing one it didn't work.
After some research I found out that a bug was fixed[1], but it isn't in the current SVN version. Is there another place where Jeeves gets maintained for Geonetwork?
Cheers,
Volker

Hi,
sorry, it was actually patched. I'll try that version again.
Cheers,

Hi,
the jeeves.jar file shipped with Geonetwork BlueNet MEST branch contains more class files than the one compiled from SVN.
If you copy the missing files into the jeeves.jar build from SVN it works, but this is probably the ugliest thing you can do.
So where do I get the source of the Jeeves the BlueNet MEST branch is using?
Cheers,
Volker

Volker,
I'll check it into a sandbox soon - but the code that matches the BlueNet MEST 10/06/08 version is archived and I won't be able to get to it until Friday night - I did think when I saw your message that you might be tripping over this - but wasn't sure.
Cheers,
Simon

Hi Simon,
In order to find out why Orbeon (our current XForms engine) and GN
(+Intermap) cannot co-exist in one Tomcat instance, we need to dig
deeper into Jeeves. If you can find the time, could you please add the
customised Jeeves code for BlueNet to the sandbox asap?
Thanks, Roald

Roald,
Apologies for the delay - didn't get back on Friday night as planned and the usual mountain of stuff to wade through upon return.
Your problem sounds like the same one I had with geoserver when I switched the xslt transformer from xalan to saxon. Jeeves caused this because it sets a System property for the TransformerFactory. To get round this temporarily I just moved geoserver into a different instance, but your problem has forced me to return to look at this again - and it seems that it can be done by supplying the transformer factory name in library meta information - the result is that Geonetwork+Intermap can live in the same container as Geoserver. I'll commit the changes to the BlueNetMEST sandbox (which has the unfixed Jeeves code in it now) to support this later this afternoon.
Cheers,
Simon

In r1357 you've committed the code you described above in the
BlueNetMEST sandbox. After having copied your changes to our
geonetworkui sandbox, we can tell you that we have had success in
running GeoNetwork+Intermap together with Orbeon in one Tomcat instance!
Thanks for that!
For everybody who is interested in creating WAR files for GN, please
have a look at our build.xml [1]. This file is the build.xml created by
Stephen Davies et al (thank you for this). I've added a few lines that
really create the WAR file (line 197 and further; the original build
script only prepared for that). Since I'm not experienced with building
these files, I might not have done it the proper way and, if so, I hope
to get advice on how to improve the script.
Cheers, Roald
