[GeoNetwork-devel] Customization problems

Hi,

I am new to GeoNetwork, and started to customize it for WHO, using the 2006 workshop documentation available on the GeoNetwork community web site, which was very helpful, thanks a lot for this!

However, I still have the following issues, and hope someone will be able to help me…

OVERALL FONT COLOUR: I wanted to change the font to black everywhere (instead of current blue). I tried to update the geonetwork\web\geonetwork\geonetwork.css style sheet (see below) but it did not work. Any idea why?

body { font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 9pt; margin: 0px; color: #000000; }

CONTACT US FORM: I could not find where to update the action under the “accept” button (I would like the form to be sent to an e-mail address) ?

SEARCH RESULTS PAGE - STYLE USED FOR TITLES: Currently, as I can see from the source code, the style used for the layer titles is heading 1 - do you know how I can change this to heading 2 ? I tried to update the search-results.xsl and search-results.xhtml files but was unsuccessful. Maybe I was doing something wrong…

FOOTER: I need to update the footer with text links rather than the images, as per the WHO web pages footer. For some reason I could not find the footer.xsl page… Do you know where it is located?

IE LAYOUT - HOME PAGE: For some reason, the layout of the home page in IE (WHO uses IE 6.0) is incorrect (except when you are in search results view) - the right side of the window cannot be seen unless you scroll (see images below) - the problem does not exist in Firefox, nor if you are in search results view, nor on any of the other pages. Have you ever experienced this?

Thanks a million in advance for your assistance!

Kind regards, Florence
