Hi Heikki,
No, I meant 2.4.0. I made the mistake myself to discuss about 2.3.0 for a long time, but while reading the release strategy we have I realized we agreed to use even numbers for stable releases. Hence 2.4.0

Hi Jeroen,

Excellent idea to set a deadline! I have had much difficulty in getting time out from project work for trunk/integration - a deadline forces the priorities.

I have a reasonable size list of stuff to commit from the BlueNetMEST sandbox - will assemble the list shortly. Friday 27/3 will be a tough deadline but I'm looking forward to finally getting this work into the trunk so will push hard to meet it.

Cheers,
Simon

Hello all, discussed yesterday on IRC with Jeroen, from my side for the 2.4 release I added patch on SelectionManager and Import Metadata process (proposed and voted end of last year).
I will do the merge of CSW 2.0.2 patch improvements described on trac with Mathieu.

Cheers. Francois

Hi All,

There has been a lot of talk about people replacing InterMap with OpenLayers. Will this be an option in the 2.4 build?

Thanks.

Hi John,
It will be an option for a future release, but definitely not for the 2.4 release. That would be really stretching it in trying to bring out a stable product that is ready for operational use. The replacement of InterMap with OpenLayers will take a bit more experimenting and implementations to come to a good solution that replaces InterMap in a transparent way.
Cheers,
Jeroen

Hi All,

I will use the Z3950 capabilities of GN 2.2 to search distributed nodes/repositories located around Australia. I would also like to search distributed Catalogue Services located around Australia. I don't think that GN currently allows this. Is anybody adding this function to GN?

Thanks.
