Hello Everyone,
I am about to start an install/migration of GeoNetwork for a University. The
database we are using is Postgresql 9.2 with PostGIS extensions. The ITS
department presented the following question regarding disaster recovery
policies to put in place for the Postgres database:
/DR options – There are two options for the Postgres DB (a) SVC replication
of the storage to our second site, which would require a DB consistency
check during failover or (b) implementing log-shipping replication. Do you
have any preference from an application viewpoint?/
Does anyone have any opinion on these options an which they should choose
for a GeoNetwork 2.10.2 install?
Cheers,
Byron

I’d love to provide advice but I am afraid I have no expertise there :(… As far as I know it shouldn’t matter from the application’s point of view. The data access layer in Geonetwork 2.20 is pretty basic, raw SQL for the most part.
