I have a question regarding LDAP integration and user profiles.
If I set the profile field in the LDAP configuration then this is used to pull profile information from LDAP into the user at every login. Is there a way to disable this functionality?
In my case we have an LDAP store which does not have a profile attribute and do not have the option of adding it. We would like to use LDAP authentication, but it removes the ability to set anyone to anything other than the default profile type.

Subject: GeoNetwork + LDAP searches
It looks to me like GeoNetwork takes the “Base” LDAP setting, appends the “Users” LDAP setting and then does a single level search for users with uid=x – is this correct?
This is impractical in one LDAP build I have found in the wild as there is more than one branch which contains users (as in multiple ou=People – in this case one for external people and one for staff), is there a way round this without changing my LDAP structure?
