[GeoNetwork-devel] Gast submodule

Hi

Since this commit: c694a7415db6bc5bae072577c2e6653ac140cb77 (https://github.com/geonetwork/core-geonetwork/commit/c694a7415db6bc5bae072577c2e6653ac140cb77#web) GAST is not available, causing issues in the installer build and failing the nightly build.

The commit seem not related to GAST. Does anyone knows if has been removed accidentaly? or should just update the installer script to don’t use it from now?

Regards,
Jose García

Jose,

I have made the updates locally to remove GAST from the installed - I have
supplied a pull request to remove it. But like you I would like to get
confirmation that this was not removed by accident.

Hi Ian

Thanks. I tried similar changes, but would like to know why GAST was removed before any additional commit, as the commit c694a7415db6bc5bae072577c2e6653ac140cb77 where was removed seem not related to GAST.

Seem nobody knows about this?

Jose García

Jose, Ian,

small question: where do you see in commit c694a7415db6bc5bae072577c2e6653ac140cb77 that GAST was removed ? I just see “Showing 2 changed files with 15 additions and 6 deletions.” but that’s not GAST. Where do you see it was here that GAST got removed ?

Kind regards

For the develop branch we discussed at the code sprint about removing gast and making it a standalone project. There were problems related to the refactoring and GAST so I dropped it and have been meaning to finish the work on the gast standalone project.

I didn’t realize the installer required it and I will look into that ASAP.

BTW, for me, it's fine to just drop GAST. Does anyone using it ? and
for what action ?

Cheers.

Hi Heikki

I was comparing the revisions and unless I’m wrong, in previous revision gast was there, but not in c694a7415db6bc5bae072577c2e6653ac140cb77.
