[Geonetwork-devel] getcapabilities

Hi,

please excuse the newbie questions, but Geonetwork supports OGC Catalogue service, how can I get the XML from a getcapabilities operation? I don’t seem to be able to get past the gui in the Jetty demo?

I have looked through the docs, and am looking for something like http://localhost:8080/geonetwork?Request=GetCapabilities

Great looking interface though!

Many thanks,

Norman

The getCapabilities operation is a CSW operation (not a catalog service operation), that is not supported by Geonetwork yet. Your URL doesn't return anything. See the OGC Catalog Interface 2.0 for more information.

Regards.

Hello Geonetwork,

Is the z39.50 server available in Geonetwork 2 Beta 2? I've installed it, and I can't do a remote search using standar z39.50 clients. The 2100 port state is "LISTEN", and I can establish a Telnet connection.

Regards.

There is a nasty bug in the Z39.50 search engine we have discovered
last week. We have fixed it so please wait the next beta (planned at
the end of this week).

Cheers,
Andrea

Hi!

Is it possible to add a new kind of resources in Geonetwork 1.2.1? I would like to add "OGC:WFS-1.0.0-htp-get-map" or "OGC:WCS-1.1.0-http-get-map" resources.

Regards.

Hi Jorge,
Yes you can. Add them in the strings.xml language files (all the way at the end). You will have to write custom XSL templates for them to do something useful
Ciao,
Jeroen
