[GeoNetwork-devel] gmx:Anchor

Hi all,

I’ve been looking at gmx:Anchor which is currently not supported (update-fixed-info.xsl):

Is anyone out there working on supporting it before I go any further? I don’t want to duplicate effort?

Just.

Hello Justin,

2011/10/17 Justin Rowles (C) <Justin.Rowles@anonymised.com>:

Hi all,

I've been looking at gmx:Anchor which is currently not supported
(update-fixed-info.xsl):

<!-- Replace gmx:Anchor element by a simple gco:CharacterString.
gmx:Anchor is usually used for linking element using xlink.
TODO : Currently gmx:Anchor is not supported
-->

Is anyone out there working on supporting it before I go any further? I
don't want to duplicate effort?

Not from my side.

gmx:Anchor are supposed to point to HTML pages, XML fragments ?

The main issue I see adding this, is that the XLink resolver, if
actived, will try to resolve the link and insert it into the document
so maybe you'll have to bypass that if this is not required.

Cheers.

Francois

Hi all,

We are usually using gmx:Anchor to point to external resources, thesaurus for example.

gmd:MD_Keywords
gmd:keyword
<gmx:Anchor xlink:href=“http://www.eionet.europa.eu/gemet/concept/3650”>Geology</gmx:Anchor>
</gmd:keyword>

Frédéric

Did you made changes to GeoNetwork to support that ?

You should try to active the XLink (from the admin) and see what happens then !

Cheers.

Hi François,

I was just talking about the usage we make of the gmx:Anchor in ISO19115/39 in our projects. I’m not using Geonetwork for cataloguing.

Frédéric
