Now when everything work fine we should deploy GeoNetwork to some machine.
Could anyone share some experience, what kind of server to use, which
configuration etc.. We'll be grateful.
If you are familiar with cloud resource, i would recommend to use EC2 to deploy GeoNetwork. We are using EC2 large instance, which works well for us so far:
7.5 GB memory
4 EC2 Compute Units (2 virtual cores with 2 EC2 Compute Units each)
850 GB instance storage
64-bit platform
I/O Performance: High
EBS-Optimized Available: 500 Mbps
we also bought 200GB EBS volumes to keep the data.
The OS we are running is CentOS 5.6. However, I believe there should be some new AMIs with latest OS version.
