[GeoNetwork-devel] Install tho Geonetwork as windows service

Hi,

It would like to know as I can install the Geonetwork as a service of the Windows? Already I tried to follow the suggestion of the aid for installation of the Geonetwork with the Tomcat, but when I go to test, the map is loading, but it does not load. I followed all the installation steps. What necessary to make in the InterMap it to start to function with the Tomcat?

Thanks,

Could you check that the InterMap is using the correct port number, which should be the same as the port of the GeoNetwork ?

See

/bin/jetty.xml for the GeoNetwork’s port number;

and

/web/intermap/WEB-INF/mapServers.xml for the InterMap’s configuration, in particular the section

The localhost’s port number should be the same as the GeoNetwork’s from jetty.xml.

Hi Heikki,

Much thankful by its aid, but not yet I obtained to solve my problem.
I verified the files “Jetty.xml” and “MapServers.xml”, and I did not obtain to find the problem. I did not find in the file “MapServers.xml” the code that you sent, therefore I am transcribing the part of the code of my archive more similar to its:

My computer run the Windows XP, and I made the installation in the following way:

  1. I installed " jre-1_5_0_07-windows-i586-p.exe"
  2. I installed the complete version of " apache-tomcat-5.5.26.exe" , and I configured the Tomcat for port 8080.
  3. I installed the complete version of " geonetwork-install-2.1.0.exe"
  4. I initiated " GAST" e I configured:
    Configuration/Jetty: (default)
    → Servelet = geonetwork
    → Port = 8080
    Configuration/DBMS: (modified to…)
    → DBMS = PostgreSQL
    → Server = MyServerPostgreSQL
    → Port = 5432
    → Database = geonetwork
    → Username = MyUsername
    → Password = MyPassword
    Menu → Options/Config: (default)
    → Server = Embedded
    → Acount = No Authentication
  5. In the file “C:\tomcat\conf\server.xml” I made an modification:
Before tag I inserted the code:

After to restart tomcat, the Geonetwork appears in the browser, but the map is loading and it does not finish to load.

If somebody will be able to help me, will be grateful.
They forgive me for the incorrect English.

Thanks,
