[GeoNetwork-devel] Integrating GeoNetwork into MapBuilder

Hello.

I wanted to know if there is any way of using GeoNetwork services (for
accesing remote geo-data, for instance) from within a GIS client; in this
case, MapBuilder (Javascript/Java).

Thanks.

You have such plugin in Cartoweb (not sure it's available in core I
guess).

It's also planned to add such widgets in the MapFish project in order to
use OpenLayers instead of Intermap for the catalogue search interface:
* http://trac.osgeo.org/geonetwork/wiki/ReplacingIntermap
* http://trac.mapfish.org/trac/mapfish/wiki/Proposals/Catalogue

in this
case, MapBuilder (Javascript/Java).

Not sure about MapBuilder, but you could easily query GeoNetwork
catalogue using xml.search, rss.search services and then display
results.

HTH.
