Hi Jacqui,
I think what you are seeing happens because the first time a user logs into GN with authentication connected to LDAP, a new GN user is created and held in the local database tables (details are updated on each login). If you then change the LDAP settings, these GN users remain in the local database tables hence what you are seeing in the User Management interface. You'd have to delete them manually through Administration > User Management to remove them (though I think I would transfer ownership of any records associated with these users first).
Cheers,
Simon

Terry,
Yep! I am changing the settings under Administration > System Configuration > LDAP Authentication. Then restarting Apache & Tomcat.
The version of GeoNetwork that I am currently running is 2.4.1
I know that the old settings are still in use because when I go to Administration > User Management it shows the users under the previous LDAP.
Hope that clarifies my problem.
Regards,
Jacqui.

Hi Jacqueline
I don't understand what you mean by:
Geo Network is not picking up the Apache configuration changes
Are you changing settings inside GeoNetwork (system config in the admin section of the web interface?)
What version are you running?
How do you know it's still using the old settings?

Subject: [ExternalEmail] [GeoNetwork-devel] LDAP Configuration with GeoNetwork Issue
Hi List,
I am in the middle of migrating from one LDAP to another. For some reason
Geo Network is not picking up the Apache configuration changes that I have
made.
I have tried restarting Apache & Tomcat but still not winning. It seems to
be still holding on to the older LDAP configuration.
Has anyone experienced this issue? Am I missing something.
I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thanks in advance
Regards,
Jacqui.
