I tried the users list and got no response so am hoping someone on the developer side can assist >
Is this a known issue? and/or if you can think of something we can do for troubleshooting (see first email below for details).
My system administrator tells me that the issue is: "Something holds up db connections and never lets it go. So the following connections will be rejected. GN uses default DBCP connection pool of Tomcat, which is very robust. I suspect it could be a bug of GN."
This is on version 2.8. It has been very stable for over a year and now this is starting. When it first started I needed to reboot about every week or two -- now it is failing within a couple of hours.

Subject: Re: [GeoNetwork-users] Losing indexing
I am using GN 2.8 and recently (last 2 months) it started losing its indexing -- a search will show only a small number of records or it will not search at all and give an error -- such that I have to do a restart after which point everything comes back (is searchable) and works as it should. It seems to be happening more and more frequently. I don't see anything in the logs that give me a clue other than when geoserver is unable to access the index.
I'm not sure what to even check for to troubleshoot. This is a production database and pretty urgent so if anyone has a suggestion please let me know. TIA
Kathy
