[GeoNetwork-devel] Maven

Hello everyone,

What is the status of a Maven build and repository for GeoNetwork?

I see the maven sandbox started last month and I'm wondering if this is
still being pursued.
If so, from my brief glance at it, I would suggest separating the web module
into a geonetwork jar module (the current packaging) and a geonetwork webapp
module with war packaging (and then managing the libraries in WEB-INF/lib as
dependencies).

We're managing a modified GeoNetwork 2.2 project (FGDC focused, also using
GeoTools, OpenLayers, and MapServer) for the State of Maine (moving to the
GeoNetwork 2.4 release soon) and looking at converting it to a Maven
project.

Thank you,

I would say work in progress… but it seems that there is not so much resources at this time to give me feedbacks and to help me building this new architecture based on Maven.
In that case contributions are really very welcomed!

On holidays during last month I did not spend more time on it!

The web module is nowadays generating both jar library and webapp module with war packaging.
What do you mean exactly and what would be the best way for you to do organize it?

ciao,

Mathieu
