I've been following the commits - looks good! Naturally, I'm keen to solve the widget injection from a schema plugin :-).

With the new javascript build system it would be easy to change the wro4j factory to check the schema plugins folder for wroj-sources.xml files and add them to the configuration automatically. I think that would be sufficient for widget injection right?
