[GeoNetwork-devel] Metadata 'title' column

Hello,

Can anyone tell me what is the use of column ‘title’ in table ‘metadata’?
It remains empty even though the metadata has a title and the only way I see to set it is via a hidden input field in metadata-insert-form.xsl.

Txs.

It has been around for as long as I've known (presumably it held metadata title at some stage..) but it is definitely in use for subtemplates - these are fragments of metadata from a schema and the title is used to identify them when they are displayed in the Administration->Manage Directories interface (for managing directories of subtemplates eg contact info or register items).

Cheers,
Simon

I see… so there is no way to get the metadata title other then parsing the XML or doing a Lucene query?

Cheers,
Mathieu
