[GeoNetwork-devel] new UI - pull request

Hi,

I've got a pull request about a new UI[1] and I was wondering if I
should do something more to help the pull request to be merged. Any
comments or reviews will be appreciated.

Thank you,
María.

Hola Maria,

···

good to see this work on the UI proposed to GeoNetwork. Having a quicklook, I’ve seen some minor stuff to fix (eg. NGR specific, missing loc). I’ll try to post comments on the PR by friday.

It’s quite a major work and maybe could be proposed as a proposal [1] so more people could have an idea of the results ? It’s only a suggestion. It could be nice to make a list of differences - new or missing features - with other widget UIs. This could be useful if we want at some point make this UI the default and add the missing features if needed.

Cheers.

Francois

This is great work! I’d like to see it made into a proposal too - it deserves that - as it uses html5 and its very good to direct users to a proposal on GeoNetwork opensource Developer website so that they can see an at least see an example of how they can use this in their own interfaces to GeoNetwork.

Cheers and thanks for this!

Thanks for the comments. I'll write a proporsal to make it more clear
and remove some custom settings.

Thanks for the comments. I'll write a proporsal to make it more clear
and remove some custom settings.

Hi,

I'm not sure where should I put the link to the proporsal[1]. Should
it be on the table of 2.9.x[2] or not yet? And... is the proporsal ok
or should I add more info?

Hi Maria

I think in 2.9.x section is fine to add.

About proposal content, would be good to add some screenshots, so people can check it. There’s a link to project website that originated this new UI, but the proposal has changes to remove custom styling/content from the project, etc.

Regards,
Jose García

I made some more changes and added it to the 2.9.x section. What should I do to propose a votation?
