Let me show you an incorrect example and how we analyze this problem. Please use Yuqi’s service http://onegeology.csiss.gmu.edu:8080/geonetwork to test, because all of ours have been corrected manually.
Jeroen:
Issue in Geonetwork2.4-generated ISO 19139 metadata. When I click to save an XML metadata (19139), it appears that some closing brackets are missing or the reference is incorrect. See the validation report:
http://www.validome.org/xml/validate/?lang=en&url=http://onegeology.csiss.gmu.edu:8080/geon
etwork/srv/en/iso19139.xml%3fid=1558It appears that sometimes the gmd namespace is misdirected from its correct location:
The example metadata (above) makes the following assignment:
xsi:schemaLocation=“http://www.isotc211.org/2005/gmd http://schemas.opengis.net/iso/19139/20060504/srv/srv.xsd”>but the following is correct:
xsi:schemaLocation=“http://www.isotc211.org/2005/gmd http://www.isotc211.org/2005/gmd/gmd.xsd”>Since these metadata were generated by GeoNetwork, this should be tracked and fixed. The bigger question is why sometimes it sets the right gmd: designation and other times it does not. 100% of the metadata in this collection came from harvesting WMS 1.1.1 GetCapabilities and we see both assignments!
