[GeoNetwork-devel] Problem Building 2.10.x docs

I just tried to compile the docs and it seems to be hanging.
I noticed that the docs submodule is no longer required since it was merged
into the 2.10.x branch. I don't see how this merge could be related since it
is simply a copy of the data. But it was working OK a couple weeks ago when
I made my last attempt.

Just wondering if anyone has the same issue.

Here are the steps I have taken to perform the build...

git clone https://github.com/geonetwork/core-geonetwork.git geonetwork-2.10
cd geonetwork-2.10
git checkout 2.10.x
git submodule update --init
# Test build
mvn clean install
mvn assembly:assembly
# Compiled successfully

#Edit web/pom.xml
#Remove "<resource>" comments block in order to build eng documents. Right
under the following comment.
#

cd docs
mvn clean install

# it runs for a bit an then hangs at "[INFO] l.3756
...-configuration/geonetwork-data-dirs.png}"

Here are the last of the log messages....

Thank you.

Seems like geonetwork-data-dirs.png was not copied over to during the move
from core-doc-sources to the core-geonetwork.

core-doc-sources 2.10.x /eng/users/source/admin/advanced-configuration
<https://github.com/geonetwork/core-doc-sources/tree/2.10.x/eng/users/source/admin/advanced-configuration>

core-geonetwork 2.10.x /docs/eng/users/source/admin/advanced-configuration
<https://github.com/geonetwork/core-geonetwork/tree/2.10.x/docs/eng/users/source/admin/advanced-configuration>

I moved the file to that folder and all worked well.

Could someone add this missing file.

Thanks.

Hi Ian,

there is also other missing files
[INFO] LaTeX Warning: File
`quickstartguide/new_metadata/link/geonetwork-relation-mana
[INFO] ger.png' not found on input line 1376.

I'll look into that. I can't figure out why/when they have been removed

THe reason is because of an ignore in the root .gitignores. It was geonetwork-*

I think I have removed that.

Ok, so I could get latest core-doc-sources and copy on doc folder for
develop and 2.10.x branches and commit all the missing files.
Does it sound fine ?
