[GeoNetwork-devel] Profiles too flexible?

Hi,

In Jeeves we have a profile manager and a flexible solution where many profiles can theoretically be defined in configuration files. However in our UI and much of our code the profiles are hardcoded. This implies to me that this extra flexibility is unnecessary.

I would like to replace it with an enum of the profiles Geonetwork actually uses. This way, rather than depending on hardcoded strings or references to constants we can be sure we are actually referencing real profiles.

Any complaints about this?

Jesse

Hi Jesse,
Do you refer tot metadata profiles (the plugins)?
Thanks,
Jeroen

GeoCat Bridge for ArcGIS allows instant publishing of data and metadata on GeoServer, MapServer, PostGIS and GeoNetwork. Visit http://geocat.net for details.
