[GeoNetwork-devel] Seeking advice

Hello.

I’m completely new to geonetwork and as my first need, i want to alter, actually add a few of my own fields into the schema of the template for Raster data in ISO19139.

I don’t know how to begin and how to do it. First of all, is it possible for me to do such a thing ? I suppose it must be to possible , so in that case, is there a step to step tutorial or maybe a video which can help me go through the steps i must follow? If it makes any difference,i installed the last version 3.4 of geonetwork .

I would appreciate any kind of help.

Hi,

1.- Go to the editor dashboard: https://vanilla.geocat.net/geonetwork/srv/eng/catalog.edit#/board

2.- Duplicate the template you want to modify

First of all, thanks for the quick response.
What i actually need is instructions so i can create new fields of my own to be added, give the titles i want to them, make them of certain data category (numeric, date, text etc…).
Can these be done only through the XML view or is there another more friendly interface? And if it can only be done only be changing the code in the XML view, when i save the changes in the file, what other files do i have to change so that i can use the template, for adding data and doing search be using the new template i saved?
I hope that what i ask makes some sense, but as i said in the begining i am completely new to geonetwork and that’s way i asked for a step to step tutorial.
Thanks again.
