[GeoNetwork-devel] The open source Spatial Data Integrator (SDI) needs the contribution of GeoNetwork community

Spatial Data Integrator is an open source ETL,the project needs the contribution of Geonetwork community. It is developped by Camptocamp company, in partnership with Talend, publisher of free software data integration. Spatial Data Integrator is the first ETL (Extract Transform Load) solution that specializes in the handling of geographic information. It is free and has a friendly graphical editor.
Thanks to the friendly graphical environment for integrating data of Talend TOS(Talend Open Studio), users of Spatial Data Integrator are able to easily build their transformation and integration of geographical data process tailored to their needs, in particular to combine data sources geographic and non-geographic data.
TOS offers more than 230 connectors covering major ERP systems and CRM, all commercial databases, all free file formats, MOM (Message Oriented Middleware) and Web Services.
The spatial integrator makes use of the JTS (Java Topology Suite) and GeoTools libraries input, output and transformation components. It also offers functionality for transformation of metadata.
The coming changes in Spatial Data Integrator will enrichment the current catalog of components, by incorporating the uDig GIS viewer, jGrass raster processing and the metadata catalogue of GeoNetwork… The software is available at this URL: http://www.spatialdataintegrator.com/ http://www.talendforge.org/wiki/doku.php?id=sdi:mainpage&s=spatial%20data%20integrator

Hi Malek, you're right the next release of SpatialDataIntegrator 1.1
will interact with GeoNetwork. An overview of these functionnalities
have been presented during last GeoNetwork workshop... we're currently
working on the new release planned for next week.

I'll send an email to the user list next week with more details.

Cheers. Francois
