I'm developing a Catalogue service for Finnish metadata. I'd like to
translate the GeoNetwork GUI in Finnish and also transform ISO 19115 schema
conformant wiht INSPIRE.
How is this possible according to license? Should I send my translation to
the community? If so, it's ok. or should I do something else?
Has somebody experience of making GeoNetwork conformant with INSPIRE? I
found some information about French Geosource, but unfortunately I don't
really understand French. So developers of this service, could I get some
information about this project in English, please?
Thank you for your help, already in advance.
yours sincerely,

I made a quick how-to translate the application on the wiki [1].

Yep working on GéoSource project we focused on making INSPIRE guidelines
applied to GeoNetwork. Main task was on schematron validation, keywords,
search criterias (on going work on CSW) and some part of the editor.
GéoSource is available here [2].
Some developments have been proposed by Mathieu to trunk (ie.
SelectionManager, Improve Import, i18n) [3], and some of them integrated
to sandboxes.
Regarding INSPIRE, it could be nice to agree on what need to be added to
GeoNetwork in order to be INSPIRE Ready. I made a wiki page [4] with
tasks done and where to find them (sandbox). Feel free to add comment/task.
we have started to translate the Geonetwork opensource to Greek. Thank you
for the wiki addition on translation that you posted. I'm currently trying
to find a way to collect all metadata values from all files that need
translation with a convenient way. Any tools you have come accross that I
can also use to do that task? I was thinking to collect all values and then
translate the "difficult" ones first, but to do this I need an export tool
to do the job. Any ideas?
