Hi David, we're currently working in a project in switzerland and need
to update the german iso19139 translation according to the (now revised
and finalised) translation made by the Translation Group of the "AK
Metadaten der GDI.DE".
http://www.nokis.org/fileadmin/Arbeitsgruppen/iso19115-uebersetzung/19115_De
utsch.xls
Do you have any plan to do any update on the german translation
committed by Jeroen in April ? Did you use this document when you first
created this translation. If not, we will probably make an update on
that in the coming month, I'll be working on that with Annina from
Swisstopo. Any comments on that ?
In GeoNetwork, we also need to make the translation of each elements
dependant of the context, so I'm going to add in the translation file
the context of the element. For example :
<element name="gmd:language" context="gmd:MD_Metadata">
<label>Metadata language</label>
<description>main language used for documenting metadata</description>
<condition>conditional</condition>
</element>
<!-- ==================================================== -->
<element name="gmd:language" context="gmd:MD_DataIdentification">
<label>Dataset language</label>
<description>language used in the datasets or series</description>
<condition>conditional</condition>
</element>
In current labels.xml file, we have some elements define many times, but
I don't really know why ? and how it has been generated the first time ?
And also an <help/> tag to gave more information about each element to
be display in the popup. This tag will be added to some elements of the
en, fr, de translations (at least in the profil but could be useful in
the iso19139 also ?).
Cheers.
Francois
