Dear GeoNetwork dev's,
I have installed Geonetwork 2.8 on a Ubuntu 12.04 Server with tomcat6 and
geoserver.
As to http://trac.osgeo.org/geonetwork/wiki/proposals/OrganisationLogo ,
since v2.7 there is the capability of Geonetwork to include an organisation
logo for ISO19139 metadata records by the 'gmd:contactInstructions' element.
However, by default 'contactInstructions' seems not to be included when I
add a new ISO19139 metadata entry. I tried to find the parameter in the
config.xml (INSTALL_DIR/web/geonetwork/WEB-INF/config.xml) where I can
specify the folder for schemaPlugins, but I cannot find any entry for that.
On
http://geonetwork-opensource.org/manuals/trunk/developer/schemaPlugins/index.html
I found that the default schmaPlugins folder is
'INSTALL_DIR/web/geonetwork/schemaPlugins', so I copied all contents from
'WEB-INF/data/config/schema_plugins/' to there. But still the
'contactInstructions' element does not show up when I open the Web-UI for
new metadata.
Anyone can help me how to enable the 'contactInstructions' of schemaPlugins?
Thanks for any help
Stefan

Stefan,
That dev manual link on geonetwork-opensource.org seems to be very out of date and needs to be updated!
The schemaPlugins are in {geonetwork_data_dir}/config/schema_plugins (ie. webapps/geonetwork/WEB-INF/data/config/schema_plugins in tomcat by default).
Cheers,
Simon

The schemaPlugins are in {geonetwork_data_dir}/config/schema_plugins (ie.
webapps/geonetwork/WEB-INF/data/config/schema_plugins in tomcat by default).
Ok, that seems to be the right location, I also checked it in the System
informations:
Schema plugin directory:
/var/lib/tomcat6/webapps/geonetwork/WEB-INF/data/config/schema_plugins
I put the 'schema_plugins' folder back there.
But still, once I create a new ISO19139 metadata record there is no
'contactInstructions' element showing up as it shows up here:
http://trac.osgeo.org/geonetwork/attachment/wiki/proposals/OrganisationLogo/organisation-logo-selection.png
Problem remains, the organisation logo plugin for ISO19139 still seems not
to be included in the Web-Interface.
Ok, I found out that in the WEB-UI I only had the default view for metadata enabled, but I need to select the ‘>By Package’ > .Metadata’ in order to view the Contact Instruction elements. Sorry for that, I shouldn’t have posted this issue here at the Dev’s page!
