[GeoNetwork-devel] Validation panel in 3.4.2

Hi Developers,

I’m trying to understand the impact of this commit: https://github.com/geonetwork/core-geonetwork/commit/b032b73018f3441f8fd0171722c5adfc1bedd78c which to my limited understanding seems to have completely hidden the validation panel in editing mode.

I understand that the validation panel setting is no longer defined per schema in the settings table, but is there any documentation on what I have to change in my schema files to make it reappear in 3.4.2? I have a button for validation that doesn’t seem to do anything now, and a tick box for what I assume is validation against a remote inspire service but no panel for validation results against schematron files.

How do I replicate the previous behaviour?

Thanks

Jo

Hi Jo

That is configured now in config-editor.xml, see https://github.com/geonetwork/core-geonetwork/blob/3.4.x/schemas/iso19139/src/main/plugin/iso19139/layout/config-editor.xml#L3024-L3033

In iso19139 schema should be displayed properly, but if you’re using a custom metadata profile, needs to be updated with that configuration.

Regards,
Jose García

Hi Jose,

Thanks for the quick response. Is it literally a case of duplicating those lines in the config-editor.xml for the custom schema?

Hi Jo

Yes, if you are using an iso19139 based schema you can copy them from https://github.com/geonetwork/core-geonetwork/blob/3.4.x/schemas/iso19139/src/main/plugin/iso19139/layout/config-editor.xml, check as should be added in each view defined.
